If you’re busy in both business and personal life you know how hard it is to look after your body the way you’d love to.

Because if you’re meeting clients, changing time zones, working on the next thing and raising your kids you will find it harder to train regularly, eat properly and stay focused.

And in turn, your body will start reflecting it over time.

Simple as that. And it baffles me how personal trainers fail to address this.

When I came to London in 2011 I made it my aim to train with directors of companies, entrepreneurs, business owners and smart business people and as I was working with them I found out they need a different approach to what traditional personal training offers.

Smarter, more efficient, accommodating and more importantly one that works.

So I’ve developed and perfected one.

The Essence Is The Coaching Side

I’m not even going to cover the training and nutritional side here. In order to shape your body or achieve fitness success you have to understand how your body works.

What makes a difference though is understanding your motivation and being able to tap into the power coming from aligning yourself with your core values.

So when the time to slack off comes you won’t. No matter how busy you are or what’s going on in your life.

And personal trainers are just not taught to understand and practise this.

And why would they?

Not everyone has the problem of super tight schedules, travelling, social drinking and 2-hour daily commute.

But a lot of people in The City do.

And that’s why I founded Sets In The City.

I believe all business leaders should strive for a healthy, fit and strong body that increases performance and ability to win challenges and influence people.

And their approach needs to support their City lifestyle. Not work against it.

No matter how you look at it, your body influences all the things you’re most passionate about and so it’s in your best interest to work on it. Can you focus at work when you eat badly? Not as well as if you eat well and train. Lift your kids up when your lower back hurts? Take your clothes off and feel confident?

At Sets In The City we love training, understand your situation and know incredible results don’t happen by accident. If you want to get fitter, leaner, stronger or fix your neck or back pain but haven’t made any progress in ages, work long hours, do a lot of client entertainment, drink, travel for business, go out and find yourself losing focus this new series of articles will be for you.
