As we just finished a relaxing bank holiday weekend…

I just couldn’t help it and decided to write this article last night..

At 0030am sitting outdoors right next to the Tower Bridge…

And while it might seem a little bit strange..

I did it because I love my job…

And because I’m committed to what Sets In The City promises people..

So let me give you some juice into your week right here, right now..

You Live By Your Standards

Every person that comes to work on their fitness with me..

Comes with one simple idea…

Their body is not reflecting their expectations of themselves..

And their standard is higher than where they are at the moment…

So let’s say you want to lose a stone or something similar..

We set some goals and get to work…

And start making some progress towards the standard…

The standard you established for yourself when making a decision to do something..

The standard you feel is adequate for where you are in your life…

And what you expect from life and from yourself..

The Complacency Creeps In

Most people get complacent when they get some satisfactory results…

They’re simply not helpless anymore..

And so their psychology lets them become complacent…

Because they’re not focused anymore..

But you not feeling helpless anymore doesn’t feel you’re at your standard..

People usually say…

“Oh, look at you, you’re looking leaner and leaner..”

Which feels great..

You get recognition from people around you…

But is that what you’re really after?

Or are you chasing your best you?

Now that’s my aim with people…

Keep reminding you…

Let’s be honest…

What do you believe is your potential?

In fitness…

Career and business…

Life?..

Your Environment

Smart people choose their environment…

They choose to happen to be at places and with people that are aligned with them..

The places that should help them work towards their potential..

But there’s a danger zone here too…

A safe environment doesn’t automatically mean a nurturing environment…

And this idea is best understood right through fitness…

When there’s someone standing above you making sure you’re out of your comfort zone when you’re training…

They’re not trying to keep you safe..

They’re trying to help you reach your potential…

And help you reach your standard…

And that’s why I love my job..

Because I get to do this on a daily basis..

So if we hopefully meet the next few weeks or months…

That is the kind of standard you can expect from me..

Don’t settle…

Have a strong week ahead!
