When you sit down on a train during your morning commute to work it’s pretty obvious.

80% of people are still half asleep, no one’s saying much, there’s no buzz and definitely no banter.

Then everyone smashes their day, or at least tries to…

And when you go back in the evening the train is much louder, people are in the zone and it looks a lot more energetic.

Are you experiencing the same?

Perhaps you are..

Perhaps your brain is still spinning at that point..

But what happens after you get home, say Wednesday or Thursday evening?

Is it still the same?

Or do you find yourself tired and low on energy?

Fuelling Your Buzz

Most people experience the same.

Some of them more and some less.

Depending on how they deal with their energy levels.

But they definitely experience the same and so decide to fix it and take shortcuts…

And those shortcuts work…

For some time…

You can stay alert and have loads of fun after a tough work day…

Drinking loads of coffee, loading on sugar, overeating and drinking alcohol helps…

But what price are they coming with?

How much have they put you out of shape already and affected a spectrum of other things?

Treating Your Body The Way It Deserves…

I’m with you.

Finding the energy for life after work without helping it a bit might sound a bit tricky.

But it is possible to do it without all the above and the long-term damage they carry for you…

And it’s also sustainable in the long run.

Here’s the problem..

Most people care these days and end up eating really well during the day…

But then they mess it up in the evenings…

And either fall for some chocolate or a glass of wine…

Or go for a takeaway with some nice salty chips and whatever tasty food that comes with them.

Because you’re tired and want to pump your energy up for the evening so you feel you have some life outside of work as well…

And So You Take Action That Goes Against Your Goals…

And it puts you out of shape and worsens your health

But unless you change it and start treating your body well, you know where that road goes…

And you know you don’t like it in there…

Frustrated with your body shape, tired of getting out of breath, not feeling as successful with your shirt off, being low on energy…

Unfortunately if sugar, caffeine and alcohol are your way to boost energy these are likely to be inevitable..

So stay strong minded instead.

Rather than falling for the immediate shortcut, come up with a plan:

If you’re tired in the evening craving something sweet, snack on something healthy during the day and increase your total food intake through ‘good foods’ like nuts, seeds and increased protein with veg so you don’t get the cravings anymore.

If you haven’t got time to have a proper dinner and need to get a takeaway, find 2-3 meals on Deliveroo or Justeat that offer low carb clean food in your area.

If you’re always tempted by chocolate on your kitchen table, just stop buying it so you don’t see it anymore.

There are always ways around whatever it is that is disrupting your progress.

You just need to find them.
